Procedure Overview
Consultation: The journey begins with a consultation with a board-certified hair transplant surgeon. During this
appointment, the surgeon assesses the patient's hair loss pattern, discusses treatment goals, and develops a personalized
treatment plan tailored to the individual's needs and preferences.
Donor Area Harvesting: In FUT, a strip of scalp is surgically removed from the donor area and sutured closed, leaving
a linear scar that can be easily concealed by surrounding hair. In FUE, individual follicular units are extracted one
by one using a specialized punch tool, leaving tiny, nearly imperceptible scars scattered throughout the donor area.
Graft Preparation: The harvested hair follicles are carefully dissected and prepared for transplantation, ensuring
optimal viability and growth potential.
Recipient Site Creation: Tiny incisions are made in the recipient area of the scalp, where hair loss or thinning
is most prominent, using a fine needle or blade.
Graft Insertion: The prepared follicular units are meticulously inserted into the recipient sites, following the natural
hair growth pattern and density to achieve a seamless and natural-looking result.
